Wilderness therapy is a unique tool that enables dramatic breakthroughs and adoption of tools and values required for our teens to rewrite the story of their lives.
The Wilderness trek is a challenging 5-day hike, during which the teens carry all their equipment and food on their backs and use advanced wilderness skills such as navigation, building shelters, gathering food, purifying water, and more.
The trek takes the teens out of their comfort zone and provides them with an empowering experience of success which helps build a sense of competence and self-belief in their ability to achieve high goals.

Nirim in the Mountains is a therapeutic agricultural farm in the Golan Heights which provides a response to our teens who are in deep crisis and dysfunction. Without intensive, individual work we would have been forced to return them to the protection of the state, to closed institutions or to their destructive living environment. The detachment, isolation and individual attention that the teen receives from the farm staff allows peace of mind and a clean space for inner work.
The built-in therapeutic process is integrated into the agricultural work routine on the farm – goat herding, vegetable garden, chicken coop and more.

Beit Shirat Hayam (Song of the Sea House) is a home for girls only. It was created for girls for whom the normal Nirim route does not provide a suitable therapeutic solution. For some girls integration into a mixed group and/or the intensive Nirim track is impossible due to past traumas and injuries that lead them to emotional dysregulation and dysfunction.
Beit Shirat Hayam operates within the boundaries of the village, but is separated and provides a bubble of calm, inclusion, intimate and individual care using innovative methods for around 10 girls at a time.

The Nirim organization supports its graduates even after completing the course in the village. This year we are celebrating 20 years of activity in which we have successfully helped around 1200 graduates, who are in need of continued support and assistance.
The graduate program provides a continuous personal and in-depth response before, during and after military service including career guidance, housing, academic studies and academic scholarships. Every year Nirim distributes over 20 scholarships for higher education to Nirim graduates in order for them to realize their full potential. We do this with the help and funding of partners who make the scholarships possible and support the important work of our Graduates Department.
